I got a little treat to share with you all today. It's our fun from our recent trip to New Orleans!
So Larry and I just visited Nola a couple weeks ago for one of his buddies weddings. I was super excited to go, because I have never been! We had so much fun and I know he was super happy to see some of his buddies from the stunt show they use to all be in at Disney. We got in on Friday pretty early and was able to check in to our hotel right away, which was nice. We stayed at The Saint Hotel. It was so so cool. They had like this whole naughty nice theming which was a lot of fun. Our place was also super convenient to Bourbon St and other places surrounding us to discover.
We walked around a lot exploring what the street of New Orleans had to offer. Lots of good food... which y'all I actually tried things! I am a very picky eater 99.9% of the time I won't try something new, but I'm so proud of myself because I actually did on this trip. I just kept hearing how amazing their cajun food was there, and the people didn't lie. Tried seafood gumbo, crawfish étouffée, cajun shrimp po boys, and a variety of benedicts. It was all delicious!
The newly weds couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The wedding took place in the morning at their hotel's courtyard, which was really nice. It was on the smaller side, but beautiful with all the brick walls, flowers, and lights. After they said "I do" there was a parade that we all took part in. I guess this is a big New Orleans thing, but I had never heard of it before. It was fun though. There was a band leading the way and we just walked amongst the streets waving our rags in the air to help with the celebration.
Oh, Lar and I also went to a Saints game! This was super fun too. Neither of us are crazy huge football fans, but it was something to do and the atmosphere os the stadium was insane. Like it was huge and the amounts of people that were there, omg it was so cool.
We got quite a lot squeezed into the few days that we were there. You can see the action all for yourselves in the Travel Vlog on my YT, click HERE!
Hope you all enjoy our trip as much as we did. Let me know if you've been or plan to go :)
