Hi lovelies,

I was just doing a little reorganizing and sorting through of my jewelry a couple days ago. The amount of jewelry number 1 that I own is insane. I have so much of it stored away trying to protect it that I never wear it because I don't see it. Or number 2. it lays out because I wear it often and my dresser just looks like a mess...

Well I recently ordered these jewelry organizing inserts for my top dresser drawer and was seeing how I wanted to place things in them today, when I discovered most of my pieces tarnished to heck. Sad day. So as I placed my pieces away in the order I'm gonna test out for a bit I decided to do a little DIY cleaning on my pretties. I shared the before and afters in my IG stories and y'all were amazed! So I thought I'd share the solution for y'all here to try out for yourselves.

At Home Jewelry Cleaner

DIY Jewelry Cleansing Solution

1C water

1TBS salt

1TBS baking soda

1TBS dish soap

Bring the water to a boil, or all I did was heat it in the microwave for 2mins. Then add the other ingredients. It'll start to bubble and fizz right away... just like a potion the Evil Queen brewed up. Toss your jewels in the mix and let sit for about 10mins. After it's set for a bit dig out your jewelry with an old soft bristle toothbrush and gently scrub. Rinse off and dry with a lint free cloth. Voila, your jewelry is like new!

This worked on my silver plated pieces. My sterling silver pieces it didn't take as much on, but still helped from where they were. I hope this helps y'all in polishing up some of your items soon so they look nice and new as well.

Hi there friends,

So I know that it is still early in the month of September, but living in theme park city we start celebrating holidays way early around here! Halloween actually started the last weekend of August at Disney, which yes I agree is nuts but what are ya gonna do about it rather than get into the spirit. Halloween at Disney has always been lots of fun for me especially attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is a special hard ticket event that happens only certain evenings throughout Aug-Oct. Basically they make it ok to play dress up and go Trick-or-Treating as an adult. Also, there's a special Halloween parade full of characters you don't normally get to see at the parks and you can't forget about the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular show that takes over Cinderella's castle!

Well this year me and my guy did a little Disney bounding at Pongo and Perdita from 101 Dalmatians. To be honest I'm really surprised that he went along with it... he must be loving me even more these days lol. Amazon became like my best friend in finding most the pieces to put this together just a couple weeks ago. Seriously they made it so easy in finding what I needed, and it always gets shipped so quickly. The rest of the items I made myself with craft supplies from Michael's. DIY dog ears, and his shirt was fun last minute projects to complete the look for our night at MNSS.

Below I have steps listed on how I made our dog ears. They really weren't hard at all. Some felt, wire, and hot glue is all I needed, then I made them a little fancier by adding some fur. Take a peak and learn for your next costume.

DIY Disney Bounding Dalmatians

Supplies

-White, black, and pink felt

-White and black fur

-Headband, Hat

-Wire and wire cutter

-Bow

-Scissor

-Hot glue gun/glue sticks

-Needle and thread

1. Cut your desired ear shape from paper and pin to felt to cut out.

I folded the felt in half after cutting my first one out to speed up the process.

2. Lay wire to shape the ear and cut where desired.

3. Glue the wire in place.

4. After the wire was glued down, I simply just glued the white felt on top of the pink using the hot glue as well. Then since I had this wired fur I used it! I cut 4 pieces per ear to glue down on top of the felt. This added more realness to the ears and helped shaped them once done and attached to our headband and hat.

5. Figuring out where I wanted the ears place was probably the hardest part, but once that was decided I simply tacked the ears on using a needle and thread. for my white ears I obviously used white thread and for his black I used black.

And just because I love everything as girly as possible I sewed a bow onto my ears.

After this was all done, all I did to add the finishing touches to make these dalmatian ears was take a black sharpie and draw on spots wherever I felt best (as seen in other pix below).

Then as for as his shirt I just got a plain white tee and cut some black dots out of felt and glue them on. Super simple and easy. I made his ears the exact same way, he just wanted his ears not to stand up as much as mine... which can you blame him lol. He was such a good sport and went along with everything that night for me, I love him so much!

I hope you think this fun Disney bounding was as cute as I did. I was really proud of it all coming together for our night of trick-or-treating at the park. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about the ears, because honestly I just winged it and hoped they weren't going to fall apart lol. Job well done, and now onto the next!

WREATH: Custom made by ME via Michael's

Wreath Making 101

Surprisingly I have found a hobby that has been super relaxing and quite fun to create, and this is Door Wreath making! Haha, such a country girl thing to do but I love it. It's not very hard either, and the best thing is, is that you can make it look like whatever you want.

I get all my supplies from Michael's. All you really need is a wreath, flowers, ribbon, and a glue gun! It's so simple. I typically use these wooden stick wreaths because I like the more rustic feel it gives off, also it makes it easy to decorate. Choose flowers to your liking or according to the season is always a good option and pick up some wide width ribbon to create your bow, and viola. You'll see below I use a wire cutter too, this just makes it easier to cut through thicker stems, it's not needed though a scissor will work just fine.

First, start with laying out your flowers. I will cut all the stems apart so the flowers are separated and easier to see the layout. Next, simply start sticking the stems through the wreath in the desired place and if it's where you want it add the hot glue and you're set.

Second, it's time to create your Bow(s). There's a few ways I've done this, but the easiest is to figure out how big you want it... roll out the ribbon and fold it over, eye ball the middle to see if the ends are big enough. Once you find the desired shape, cut the ribbon and glue the ends together... It'll look like a circular band. Next cut another small piece off and glue the top and bottom ends together to make skinnier. This will be your center portion of the bow. If you want tails, cut two pieces to the length you want and narrow out the top part that you attach behind the bow before you wrap the center around to connect it all.

Once the Bow is placed and glue continue to add flowers until it looks perfect to you. And there you have it, a perfect little addition to help add that homey feeling to your front door.
