So it's Summer lovelies, and you know what that means... lots of fun in the sun!

Now if you're like me, you might not have the greatest luck with a nice sun kissed glow. So we head to a self tanner for help! I have tried plenty of different brands and that's actually another post I'll work on for y'all, but today we're focusing on a new brand, Sunkissed Bella.

Not gonna lie to y'all I had never heard of this brand until they reached out to me on Insta, but boy am I sure glad they did! Yes, I was gifted this tanning kit, but I am creating this review all on my own because I enjoyed the product so much. I know I appreciate knowing the scoop when looking into others product reviews so hopefully this will do the same for you.

Packaging

First off, the packing is so freakin cute! Like total vintage beach babe vibes with the pinstripe pink. Also, cuddos on the amazing box my kit came in. Y'all know I'm a sucker for packaging, but I know I'm not alone.

About the Product

Being 100% honest with you all this product felt so rich and luxurious. The mousse is dark, which I love. You can see exactly where it's going or where you've missed. It spreads smoothly and dries crazy fast. The best part I noticed in comparison to other brands, is that as you're cooking you don't start to stink! That's the worse part about self tanning, and with SKB I didn't have that at all.

Results

After dreaming the night away about my gorgeous tan... I woke up to it being true! The color is perfection. It has a nice olive undertone. There's no hint of orange at all. Even after I rinsed it off, I still had a tan. That's another thing I hate - after taking all that time to apply and then you gotta rinse and it all goes away. No thank you! There's def discolor in the shower, but once out it remained on my body as well.

I used the "Bronzed" which is the medium/dark shade and tbh I go light when applying. I was so pleased with my results and most def have added SKB to my summer essential list! I do have a discount code for y'all if you need and want to test out a new self tanner.

Get ready now for more product reviews from SKB too, there's lots to come!

Hope you lovelies are staying safe and healthy as things are opening back up.

STEPS

  1. Apply your primer. Yes, I use monistat on my face. I know, I know - why would I do that... Well it's the freakin same at the Smashbox Photo Finish and for a fraction of the cost, that's why. It's literally the majority of the same ingredients and it blurs your pores and lines to perfection.

  2. Wet your sponge and squeeze it into a towel to get the excess water out.

  3. Apply your foundation. I use the sponge to blend all over and down neck. I love the CT because it gives me a full coverage flawless look that actually lasts all day! Even through sweating and performing. It's my favorite.

  4. Apply concealer with tip end of sponge. You're painting on tribal makeup at this time. Down the bridge of your nose, and don't forget the tip. Place a small triangle right between your eyebrows. Draw triangles under your eyes. Dot your chin, cupid's bow, and bottom corners of lips. The extra around the lips isn't needed unless you're going for that extra plump look in the end.

  5. Set the concealer with powder! You don't need a lot - too much will make you look dry and cakey. Pat & press the powder on to the places you just put your concealer. Sweeping will cause streaks... no thank you!

  6. Highlight! Make small circular motions around the outer corner of your eyes by your temples. Kind of like a "C" shape. Carry it to the tops of the apples of your cheeks. Dust the tip of your nose, the bridge of your nose, slight between your brows, the cupid's bow, and dab your chin. Basically almost everywhere the concealer went ; )

  7. Time to shape your brows. The biggest tip I can share with you is go light and add a little at a time. I gotta fill my brows in so much and to make them seem as natural as possible you need to take your time, gently add shape with a pencil and brush the color upwards to blend. My holy grail brow product is the Shape + Shade from MAC, omg it makes my brows look sculpted and like I had them micro bladed! Like 100% I'm not shitting you, get this product! With the pencil you'll shape, then brush to blend. Next you create the hairlike little flecks and brush to smooth out - Brows on Fleek!

  8. Let's get your shadow on. Start with "Girly" that's the pink tone. Lightly pat and press onto the crease. Then you can gently sweep to blend out. Focus on the crease, but blend upwards and slightly down onto lid. Next use "Soft Brown" on the outer corner of your eye. I use the same small tampered brush for both of these colors. Last shade is the lightest to clean up and brighten. Use "Orb" under your brows, carry around and down the inner corner of your eye, and also pack in on top of the center of your lid.

  9. Line your eyes. I've been loving a darker brown shade as of late. It gives you a softer look. Use on outer corner of eye, carry only to the middle on lower lash line. Make it faint on the bottom line. On the top you can go more intense. Start on outer corner and I got bigger narrowing the line as I near the inner corner of my eye. Then take a firm pointed brush to smudge both the top and bottom out. Again, this will help keep your eyes by giving off a softer touch.

  10. Bat dem Lashes and coat them with mascara!

  11. Get your cheekies nice and rosie. Apply right on top of your sheet bones. Find the mid point and start there. Press it into your skin and carry it out towards your hairline. Once you get that use a little over the apples of your cheeks. You want this part to be fainter on the application.

  12. Finishing off with the lips. I love a good plump pout and I've been obsessed with over drawing my lips to make them look bigger. To do this, you're going to over draw the cupid's bow on top, and the center of your bottom lip. Then liner the corners and have them meet into one. Shade in the corner. Use a lighter lipstick in the centers and smack together to blend.

  13. Finish it off with your setting spray!

I hope the detailed written tutorial has helped and maybe you'll try giving this Girly Natural look a try soon. You can always reach out to me with questions.

Hi lovies,

I wanted to step outside my box and try to create something a little more on the wild and fun side... so there for I'm bring you Rainbow Eyes. I wasn't quite sure in the process of painting my face if this was really going to turn out, but luckily enough it did! I think it came out so fun and bright and playful. This is exactly what we all need more of in our lives right now.

I know there is a lot going on, and to be frank it's scary as heck to see the world we live in acting in ways I never thought we would have to live through. So I'm trying to do my best if you visit any of my platforms to keep the focus light. It doesn't mean I don't care or that I'm trying to be selfish or inconsiderate - I just want peace and joy for people.

I hope you enjoy this makeup tutorial and it brings you 5mins of relief from the stress we're all dealing with.
